  • Condition: Antique creamer in very good condition. No chips or repairs, a hairline crack that can't be felt appears in the same place on both sides of the pitcher where the clay was pinched. Some barely-visible crazing. Please see photos flaws are highlighted.

    Description

    Very pretty little creamer with the base marked: "Semi-Vitreous Buffalo Pottery 1909' around the American bison image. There is also the number '12'. It is approximately 4 inches tall at the height of the lip and the handle; 5 inches long and 3 inches wide. It weighs 11 ounces. In the middle of the pitcher in the area where the clay was folded on both sides is a hairline fracture that can't be felt with a fingernail. Since is appears in exactly the same place I am deducing this is a structural issue and may have been present right out of the kiln. It does have some crazing when you look closely. I have not found any chips. Blue color is very vibrant against the white glaze and the painting design is very well executed. The piece displays well.
