The CD5.0 wind turbine controller is used to rectify the three-phase alternating current produced by wind turbine to single—phase DC constant current then charge the battery.
It monitors the generator system to protect the battery’s overcharge.
The CD5.0 controller is designed with an electromagnetic brake safety function to prevent the wind turbine’s blade running faster when the wind is much stronger.
Note: Always connect the controller to the battery before you connect it to the wind turbine. This model is 24V. Please check the voltage of your existing wind turbine to use the proper controller. The controller will be burnt easily if t is no battery in whole system.
Please turn the brake switch to “Unload” position before you connect the wires of battery and the wind turbine to controller and turn the brake switch to “Normal” position after the wind turbine has been installed completely.  As far as possible to keep away from the battery to prevent some cases even explosions could occur by sulfuric acid gas emitted from battery during operation.  For safety, please turn the twist three stripped wires of output cable head into one rope (ie short-circuit is acquired) to stop the wind turbine turning if you want to disconnect the controller and wind turbine for some reason.  Please notice that when you release short-circuit inside the generator’s cable during windy conditions, the generator will accelerate and cables will be energized. Switch in “normal” position means the wind turbine could charge the battery normally.  The three cores of the wind turbine should be connected into the wind input terminals at the front panel of the controller; the order of connection does not matter at 3-phases-alternation-current.  Don’t connect wire to the terminal of battery and load output wrongly. The controller will be burnt when you mistake “+” for “-
